PhiLanSci UAM 2026

2nd International Conference for Emerging Researchers in Philosophy and Language Sciences

May 27th, 28th and 29th

Guest country: Italy

Following the success of its first edition, we present PhiLanSci UAM 2026, the 2nd International Conference of Emerging PhD Researchers in Philosophy and Language Sciences, with the aim of building a broader and stronger network of connections among doctoral researchers worldwide and enhancing the visibility and outreach of the PhD Programme in Philosophy and Language Sciences at the UAM.

We are committed to fostering communication within an interdisciplinary space in which emerging researchers and recent PhD graduates can present some of the results of their ongoing work and receive constructive feedback from fellow colleagues.

The first edition, held in 2025, enabled us to create an international forum for sharing reflections and projects with participants from different countries, generating an enriching dialogue that brought together diverse perspectives and approaches to research and to the dissemination of its outcomes.

PhiLanSci is primarily addressed to all PhD candidates enrolled in the PhD Programme in Philosophy and Language Sciences at the UAM, with a limited number of places available for master’s students in related programmes at our university. It is also open to PhD candidates enrolled in similar programmes at other universities in the Community of Madrid, in Spain, and worldwide.

As Italy is the guest country for this edition, we will host two distinguished keynote speakers who will represent the contributions that Italy continues to make to the fields of Linguistics and Philosophy.
